Gallivanta was founded by a solo traveler with 15+ years in travel technology. I started this because I experienced the problem firsthand-and I’m building the solution I wished existed.

I run a dating app. Privacy matters to me personally and professionally. Here’s why I’m not sharing my full identity yet:
- Safety: Dating app founders can be targets for harassment
- Focus: I want attention on the product, not on me personally
- Values: I believe in the right to privacy-especially in dating
- Stage: Once Gallivanta is bigger, I’ll be more public
This doesn’t mean I’m anonymous. My identity is verified with Google, I’m the registered business owner, and I’m accountable for every word on this site.
How We Create Content
1. Personal Testing
I test every app personally-create accounts, use features, evaluate safety. If I recommend it, I’ve actually used it.
2. Traveler Interviews
For destinations I haven’t visited, I interview 3-5 recent solo travelers. Real experiences beat research every time.
3. Safety Review
Safety content is reviewed by certified specialists. We take this seriously because we travel solo too.
4. Official Verification
We verify details with State Dept travel advisories, local tourism boards, and official app security docs.
What We Won’t Do
- Recommend apps we haven’t tested ourselves
- Write about destinations without research or interviews
- Use AI-generated content without human review
- Accept sponsored content that compromises recommendations
- Pretend to expertise we don’t have
